This course will prepare personnel working in sterile processing to clean and sterilize flexible endoscopes according to best practices and clinical guidelines. The course has a self-paced, 8 hour online module available 24/7 (textbook recommended) that participants are required to successfully complete by Friday, December 15, 2023 at 12:00 MT. Upon successful completions, participants may attend the eight hour face-to-face workshop in the lab on Saturday, December 16, 2023 starting at 8:00am.
A certificate of completion will be awarded to participants who complete the online portion with a grade of 70% or higher in each of the quizzes and the final and competency evaluation in the lab with 70% or higher grade.
Prerequisites: Formal sterile processing course completion at CNM or another accredited institution; or one year hospital experience in peri-operative sterile processing; or certification by IHCSSM or CBSPD. Documentation required by instructor on day of face-to-face lab.
